Tara Hope, MA, RCC

Tara is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She works with men, women, youth, children, couples and families who are seeking peace with themselves and others. A Certified Teacher and former School Counsellor, Tara has many years of experience working with children and families.

Tara uses a collaborative, individualized approach as a counsellor. Sessions are solution-focused with the aim of clearly identifying what the issue of concern is, finding useful strategies to address the issue and devising a plan to put those strategies into practice in real life. Tara always aims to include important aspects of her clients' lives to assist in the healing and change process. This may include cultural, spiritual or religious elements depending on the individual.

Areas of special interest are eating disorders, addiction (substances and behavioral), emotion regulation, conflict resolution and parenting. She has two young adult children with her husband of over 20 years. She has facilitated many groups, delivered presentations and workshops and places a high value on humanistic, holistic counselling practices

Tara works in our Comox Valley office and our Campbell River office.
